Cookies and Favours

As much as possible, we try to incorporate local and organic produce in order to achieve the best in flavours.

We work with nut free recipes, though they may contain traces of nuts.

All cakes and fillings are home-baked using tested recipes to assure perfect baking with balanced flavours.

No alcohol is used to bake any of our cakes, nor the fillings, therefore all cakes are suitable for children.

Types of coating:

  • Fondant: it is a sugar paste rolled out like a pie crust and used to cover the cake and cookies.
  • Royal Icing: is a hard white icing, made from softly beaten egg whites (I use dried egg whites), powdered sugar, and sometimes lemon or lime juice.
  • Fondant glaze: it is a poured fondant.

If you would like any other type of cookies that is not mentioned below, please contact us and we wil be more than happy to bake it for you.

  • Cake cars: ready-made chocolate cake bars transformed into cars, ideal for birthday parties!
  • Sugar cookies: they are buttery, crispy and full of flavour. They can be decorated using any of the coating mentioned above. Ideal as favours for birthday parties and weddings. They can be made in different shapes such as wedding dresses, cakes, animals, numbers, shapes…
  • Cake balls: they are cake mixed with buttercream, shaped into small balls and coated with chocolate. Nuts, icing sugar, flakes and much more can be used to give the cake balls a different design and flavour every time. Any type of cake and buttercream can be used.

 

  • Brigadeiro: Brazilian chocolate balls made using condensed milk and either chocolate powder or strawberry chocolate powder. Rolled into balls and coated with icing sugar, cocoa powder or chocololate/colourfull sprinkles. Great for a birthday party and as favours.
